I have had mixed results after using these strings. I have been using them for 6 months on a student 1974 Conde entrance model that I use for busking. The sound is excellent well balanced and good volume and very flamenco. This week I was changing the strings on my 2015 Conde FC28 . I usually use Luthier 20 on this guitar which is way better than the student Conde . I decided to try the 820b black strings because I liked the character of them.
However a total disappointment....No volume or balance..the trebles are nearly inaudible compared to the base and the tone sounds like I used fishing line. Has anyone else found the result of using 820b to be inconsistent ?

Same on my Sanchis compared to about every other guitar. I feel it is the tension, which on that guitar is a bit lower due to the action also being lower. Only Luther 20 or higher tension works on that guitar. It is a bit strange but, again I feel it is the set up. But the back and sides are maple, which I feel is similar to port orford which responded well to the La Bella.
