Does anyone know which early Potito albums had Diego del Morao accompanying?

Onn one of his earlier albums he was accompanied by a young Diego and the guitar was sublime. I just can't remember which album it was.

Not sure, there was Bario Alto? That wasn’t one of his super early albums though

Funny you mention, I was just listening to that album he did with Vicente, “Encuentro” and realized I don’t really care for Potito that much anymore! He hasn’t aged well for me.

I think that’s right. Moraíto is two albums earlier, on Mía pa los restos, and it would make sense son Diego would record afterward.

I’ve never cared for the sound of his voice or the way he uses it, although, because of that, I haven't listened to him all that much. I thought he was younger but it turns out he’s the same age as me.

canta bien.

Yes it was Barrio Alto. Thanks for the reply.

Is anyone ever keep note of any other tracks he accompanied early on in his career?

Not many Cd's mention the accompanist on each track and I find the Diegos early accompaniment was special.

I have a disc called Jerez Joven, with Chiqui, Juan Zarzuela etc. But he plays exactly like his dad. I first saw him with Macanita in 1999 with his modern style in full display (Pueblo de Cazalla), so maybe he recorded at that time? His hot buleria appeared first accompanying Niña Pastori. I learned that version of the falseta but later he recorded it on his solo album and changed it, and honestly, the first version was superior. He has a nice falseta also on Diego Cigala’s Picasso ablum, but frankly the cante on that track is not good.

That intro falseta:

Olé Ricardo.
Y la segunda at 1:00 de Tomate, as with Guadiana and...Potito:

He plays on La Tana's 2005 album 'Tú, ven a mí' with Paco de Lucia producing.

Another take on his buleria falseta idea:

WTF? Just random posting based on "Potito"? How about at least read the thread first before blind posting?

Yesterday my friend took me to his workshop and he recommended an album————“Agua de Mayo” La Susi.

I noticed that Diego was in there and His Bulerias is magical. And I also like La Susi's voice.

for what i understood (Diego) he isnt professional , only part time , he works as a administrative ("paper" office work) full time , is this true?
maybe i understood wrong

hxwhf72752003 -> RE: Potito (Nov. 14 2024 8:33:08)

I don't know. But he can't be a great guitarist with incredible tech and brilliant musical feeling if he is an office worker. He is so creative, and his fingers have magic. I think that he needs to practice more than 8 hours per day to get where he is now[:D]

Manitas de Lata -> RE: Potito (Nov. 14 2024 9:46:11)

he regrets for his lack of dedication in the past..., and currently the doesnt reverse previously (days for example) the gigs, only warm up.....[:D]

I didnt understood why he was telling that (his lack of dedication in the past) because hes great , but yesterday i think that understood.
I was finishing a paper work (social (i)migration etc) and i put Diego as background music , i almost didnt notice that he was playing diferent stuff. His playing style is allways the same ( i enjoy but..) , his phrases with power chords are allways the same ( i enjoy a lot but..) etc

Stil , love the guy
