I have to learn Fandangos for dance class, just wondering about the rules of Fandango.
I have my Graf book but I wanted something a little harder. It has to be a de Huelva.

Does it start on 12 or what and whats the accents.

thanxxx[:)]

Here's what I saw today.

Then there's one written out here:

I'm sure there are links around there that can help further.

There is a traditional colpa with cording compas for Fandangos de Huelva on my web site. It is in TablEdit and has the feeling of the compas. I find that when I play accompaniment something simple is better.

Actualy I tried the simpler one and had a hard time with it. Uh I have that Fandangos off your site, I liked it but was a little confused. Yours seems like a half compas, I don't know, it just was different so I had a hard time comparing it to the one my friend is trying to teach me from
dance class. [:)] its late now but Ill uploas a piece of it soon.

Thanx for the reply doggma. laters

Tough as is is to describe Fandango "in a nutshell" (you'll always find variations, even traditionally) I did my best according to what we do at the school I accompany in:

http://www.flamenco-guitar-mainz.de/Fandango2.htm

It's actually meant for students of mine to look at before having a class...

Hope this helps,
John
