Savarez Cantiga basses seem to last longer than others, even D'Addario. That's funny, 'cos the Savarez Cantiga basses are the basses in the Savarez Tomatito sets, which Ricardo said didn't last one gig (or was it one rajeo, I can't remember)! [:D] The sets I and my colleagues got in 2013 or so, were breaking bass strings (and high E's) so we stopped using em. From at least two different guitar center outlets, however, they could have been dry rotted or something weird. Never cared to find out. I have had other Savarez red cards and blue cards snap. The La Bellas 820 always felt a bit softer or flexible and I have not broken any soon out of the pack....but they have had their issues in the past as well (remember they did the same as Coke, new Coke, back to Coke classic a while back). Strings getting more expensive has corresponded to my not needing to change them as often, so my experimenting days are over it seems.
