What other instruments do we play? How do they mesh with flamenco guitar? I had a flamenco guitar at 17; it was age 29 before I got a five string banjo. The facility of the right hand on flamenco did help in advancing on the banjo, but most folks said my banjo style was a "little different". The music played was a little different too.

Interesting topic.

We bought a piano 2 years ago. Mainly for my daughter. But my wife plays too.

I wouldn't say I can play it, but I definitely have a go and my musical knowledge from guitar playing certainly helps. I can bluff many songs by ear and sing along playing a few chords.
Make up a few silly songs for the children.

Can also twiddle about and make some kind of songs that I think are pretty cool. Seems also the rythymn and finger dexterity from guitar certainly helps that too.

I've played Tabla (Indian Instrument) for a brief period when I was younger

Chances are you've seen a flamenco show with a tabla, Paco himself was accompanied by Tabla quiet a few times

I started playing electric guitar at 15 or 16. I took lessons and studied. I went on the road full time at 21 and at 26 I started with flamenco. I'm going to turn 66 in a few weeks and rarely pull out an electric guitar. I am going to play a gig with a band that I played with for ten years in the 80's later this year. It's their 45th anniversary of being a working band. Had some wild times in that group.

None really, though I would like to have the time and learn to play another instrument.
But I do have a cajon, and a chromatic harmonica, played a bit of both but never really learned.
