rafapak -> downstroke and golpe togetther-finger selection (Feb. 10 2024 18:04:01)

Hi guys.
I have question in relation to playing at the same time downstroke with index finger and golpe with ring finger. In bulerias this technique is used a lot I observed. Well, it is more comfortable for me to play golpe with my middle finger instead of with ring finger. Is it ok and acceptable or for some reason I should use my ring finger to play golpe ? Can I do whatever is more comfortable for me or there are some negative consequences of using middle finger to play golpe ?

If it is only m finger, the spread is not wide enough, or rather uncomfortable when accenting with index finger. There are times when we will use m and a fingers together for a thicker golpe sound. But honestly there are no rules about it. Do as you feel comfortable.

I don't pay attention to golpe fingers anymore, because relaxed hand is more important for me. As long as my hand and fingers are relaxed with no tension, I don't care whether it's m or a or both.
If you relax your hand fully during ras, pulgar or alzapua technique, both fingers tend to play golpe. For hitting only with m or a, your brain needs additional information to process which i don't want. I believe it's not efficient.
