edgar884 -> FALSETA PRACTICE (Apr. 8 2006 22:27:57)

I'm working on some new stuff and just realized a great way to study new falsetas. Take your power tab set the tempo very slow and add multiple repeats to the first 12 beats. I don't know why but sometimes I'll try and read it and learn the notes and it takes forever to get the timing down. This way you hear the timing a few times while your looking at the notes and then you can try playing with it. Once you get it you can erase the repeats and move on to the next 12 beats. This probably is the fastest way to get something new down. I think Ricardo mentioned to learn Flamenco pieces one Falseta at a time so you can realy get the compas down, well I think hes right.
