Can anyone comment on the Oscar Herrero 24 Studies for Flamenco Guitar (BOOK + CD). Medium level. And also the basic level 21 studies?

No one to reply? Well, I was thinking to buy one of theses books and I had it in my hands in a shop, but I did'nt buy them because I recognized some of the studies he is playing in the second books he made with Claude worms "traité de guitare flamenca" ed Combre and as I play just 3 of them I decided to learn what I own first..I cannot say more, sorry, but if you already know the method I am speaking of, you can imagine the spirit of these studies..

I've sent for them as I'm very impressed with his Step by Step DVD. It seems to be very concise and to the point.

I do not know these publications but I know that any instructional material by OH will be very good.

These are excellent study books and their companion CD's further enhance the study. Ability to read music is a big plus even though the tabs are easily readable. The videos are also an excellent enhancement!

I have the books and DVD Solea I and II. For me ist very helpfull to see and hear how he plays the solea. The OH´s comments are very helpful too.


There are many little things, wich ican learn, like for example how long he let sound every note etc.

old post but whatever. The solea one is great and really is great way to learn proper solea for any beginner.
