Chanpanpap -> Carbon Strings (Jul. 13 2023 22:52:22)

Any recommendations for Carbon Strings?

Ive tried the Oasis Carbon Strings not very well known company for the strings but humidifiers, the strings where commended by the previous owner of Strings by Mail.

My guitar sounded 2x even 3x the sound, projection was stupid crazy but lasted less than a week, the strings where all dented after a few days of playing, also the trebles easily broke, funny.

Im searching for a longer lasting Carbon Strings,

Recently got some LaBella Vivace and I like them but still use a nylon E string

These seem to last really well. I really like them. Although I have gone back to the EJ45 nylons as they sound and feel nice on the only guitar I have at the moment.

Can confirm! They sound slightly too metallic (like a steel string) to my ears, but still otherwise nice. Definitely clear trebles.

Savarez 500AJ "Alliance" trebles. Best I have ever used and durable; they seem to last through 3-4 bass sets. The 3rd string G in that set is the most powerful I have ever heard. I use HT strings, they work great on low action guitars.

RC Strings Carbon, they stay good even after 4 months and very nice tone for carbon

Be careful of the D'Addario pro arte trebles at this time period (like the EJ45) as there have been numerous reports of bad intonation so much that D'Addario acknowledged that.

The EJ45FF has fluorocarbon trebles so you must be alright with them.

Other great fluorocarbon strings are Knobloch CX series but are pricier, so go with what you can find easier and cheaper.

In general I do not like fluorocarbon at all[:D] , if you find EJ45 mellow, which is understandable for these strings, try La Bella nylon trebles sets, like 820 (red trebles, 820B (black trebles) or the 427(clear trebles and generally easier medium tension set).

I second that. I am using 820 on the 19th century spirit guitar with great results as with condes etc. Have used the other two with great results years ago.
