Hey all,
Here is another falseta por Bulerías by Cañizares.
This is one of my favourite bulerias falsetas by any guitarist.
I hope ye enjoy it!

Beautiful.

One of the things that seems to stand out with your playing to my eye is your economic left hand technique. Thanks for the close up and, as always, it sounds fantastic.

Cheers

Very cool falseta, I haven't heard it before, thanks!

Excellent and inspiring! Thank you for sharing.

Super!!

You are great, and this type of stuff is very educational. My opinion of Cañizares as a composer at the end of the day: weirdo![:D]. It is like following my wife around in the grocery store, one minute we are here, then we jump way the hell over somewhere else, then back, and like, why didn’t we just get all the stuff we needed in that one aisle in the first place!!![:@]

Hahaha thank Ricardo. The phenomenon you describe is also a pet peeve of mine but I don't view Cañizares's music that way. The more I study it, the more I appreciated it. That being said, I was always a fan. To each their own I suppose but for me personally, I find some of his ideas just so amazingly musical and unique.

Thanks for the instruction John! I remember you playing this piece decades ago lol

What Ricardo says, I sort of agree. This is one of his cooler falsetas. But also very Canizares, its own species of animal. He surprises me with the flow of his music/thinking. Sometimes I say "Very clever! and then the next second "what were you smoking? Its like he's afraid of sounding cliche with certain phrases and has to throw the listener off balance.

Olé John, great playing.

Canizares has a very particular style.
No cante around, where does he get inspired?

Thanks Jason! This buleria is admittedly a bit mad but his music has a clear logic to me for the most part. The Zapateado on that album is so beautifully composed and constructed for example. P.S yes haha seems like decades ago alright.[:D]

Thanks very much. Well he accompanied singers on too many albums to mention before his soloist career but even if he hadn't he gets influence from music of all types. He mentioned before having many conversations about Stravinsky with Paco.. [:)]
