Hey all i've been playing guitar for about 30k hours and here's what i've come up with. Is this even flamenco? or am i a pop guitar player. let me know.

PS, i'm kind of a noob so don't judge me....ive gotta work on my technique so i can get as good as some of the best flamencos out there. Please take a listen and comment if you feel like it. I know there's a lot of experts on this forum but please do be kind in what you post as i am fairly new to this flamenco thing.

Thanks!!!! and BESOS. CreatureOfHabit

Many correct notes and chords. But the compas or rhythm/phrasing is not correct. Use a metronome to start, keep the phrasing correct (you tend to add spaces).

Thanks Ricardo....you have no idea how long i've been trying to get some real feedback from a real flamenco. It's like they're too afraid that i'll be butt hurt or something.....this is the feedback i needed.

I'll try to use a metronome from now on. So far i've just played what sounded good to me....which i think is the best approach to sound good but now i've gotta really control it with a metronome and control myself.

I don't know if i can do that after all these years of doing it the wrong way but i'll try. it shouldn't be too hard to play a different more controlled timing but i don't know how to make it consistent and every time i play.

Record everything again along that beat. It will be 100% improved. Get it down and than take the next steps.

I would suggest working on compas and rhythm instead. You have some technique but without compas it is not flamenco. Right now it sounds like random noodling around but if you learn compas and rhythm you can give it context and meaning.

PS If you have been searching for feedback Ricardo gives skype lessons https://www.ricardomarlow.com/

[:D] yeah either that.or current members have to pass some kind of bs post detector. I mean come on this is clearly some grade a bullplop. 30k hrs!? 'A longing bird yearns for desire' do me a favor! This a grift

Your playing sounds messy. There's no structure in it. It's like one enters your room and sees your shoes, socks, pants, basically everything lying on the ground. Sort them out. You need a serious clean-up while you're listening to good flamenco.
