flamencoguitar -> Flamenco neck angle/dome height (Dec. 15 2022 3:04:04)

Building my 4th flamenco guitar. Planning a new solera and mold .. 655m scale with 1.5mm dome/1mm neck offset. First time with Carbon reinforced neck.. based on mockup drawing of the 655mm scale .250" width fretboard at 12th fret .. I get 2.8mm action on 6th string at 12th fret and around 7.5mm at bridge. I was told that reinforced necks have minimal spring back. Do these numbers sound like they are in the ballpark ?

The numbers sound good, but another factor could be the flexibility of the soundboard: If it gets depressed by the pull of the strings on the bridge, despite the doming, the action could be lowered. Or despite the doming planned for in the solera, there could be springback. I have found that this requires trial and error. But it being your 4th guitar, you should be good if you've thought about these things.

Ok hopefully the carbon reinforced neck will help spring back.. also planning modified arched fan bracing.

Springback is when you've bent something and then it springs back partway to it's original state. I was referring to the bending or doming of the soundboard. Presumably you are not going to bend the neck.

My bad.. I meant string pull should be minimal with carbon reinforcement. So what carbon reinforcement is used ? 1 or 2 rods and where are they placed relative to say.. fret locations
