No label copy of Ramirez. I have seen a couple around. Not sure who exactly was doing this, but I have a Nagoya that is exactly like the Ramirez 1a I used to own (in fact I always liked the Nagoya much better. It even sounds like the Ramirez, with only a slight inferior treble tone). I suspect these are also from Japan and the labels get removed in order for second hand owner to try to pass them off as top models from Madrid. In Ramirez III’s book he described the Japanese copies he saw…He says in order to study his design they took one of his guitar and sawed it in half. They copied the bracing style and everything internal. He claims they didn’t understand the “secret”, which he seems to think was based on physics and experience. IMO they actually did a decent job replicating the sound and feel.
