Stu -> Braces on a negra (Jul. 1 2022 22:01:29)

Hi.

I still haven't finished my current build. But before uk left the eu I bought some wood for number 3 from madinter in Spain.

I was just looking through the wood. I plan to build a negra.
When looking through I find my rosewood back and sides. Spruce top etc etc. I also find I have cedar braces for the soundboard.

I can't really recall ordering them. Is it correct to have cedar braces on a spruce top on a negra?

Cheers

I have a 74 José Lopez Bellido with Cedar struts. I am familiar with an old Arcangel (blanca in this case) with cedar fan struts and spruce main transverse bar. A guitar from Juan Montero I had for awhile was the same.
Tacchi told that he spoke about this feature with Friederich: cedar struts go for a slightly softer attack.
This is also my idea but it’s difficult to isolate a single feature from the whole and say what it does.my Bellido has very bold and sweet trebles…
