Most of the bulerias I am familiar with I can trace to some origin such as various solea styles as a basis, jaleos extremeños, or Pregones, or cuple where they mix in Mexican stuff even, boleros etc. But that first style (first two letras), and the “nada mas quiere dinero gitana” that this guy seems famous for, I don’t know where that comes from. I mean I have not come across the old masters doing that style. The lyrics are like 5 or 10 syllables (…yo voy a verte, yo voy a verte… or “gitana Mia, pa yo quiererte…” and the chords keep going back and forth between C and Bb. It is very distinctive. Any idea about the origins of that style?

I was wondering about those letras aswell, i asked Jesus Agarrado, el tortas brother in law, and he said from his understanding its a letra of el torta he composed himself, but also heard another singer rafael llorente sing those lines before
