Hope this isn't too sacrilegious but thought I would share this short study for flamenco guitar and serge synthesiser. I have played studied flamenco for years but listened to Aphex Twin before Paco so I have always been curious about the different aesthetics of electronic sound and guitar and how they combine.
The system works live. So this is one take no overdubs. there are pickups for each string and these get wired into the synth. The bass strings of the guitar individually trigger the synth to play notes that harmonise or disturb the playing. I wanted to do something where the guitar voice and synth can both be heard so a bit of deviation from MIDI guitars etc.
Curious what you all think. I hope to do some more experiments with guitar and some dancers and singers.
