Thanks for this, just gave his release a listen.

The piece with Ara Malikian is interesting. I watched some of his YouTube concerts some time back and was sufficiently turned off by the over-the-top staging and his general schtick that I haven’t listened to him since. But I quite like what he does on ‘Seré un Recuerdo’, even if it is a bit ‘showy’. Maybe I should open my mind a bit and check him out again.

That’s all the recommendation I need. I’m listening to his “The Incredible Story of Violin” as I type this. I like the Alice in Wonderland style artwork on the cover. :)

*add* I’ve also been listening to the collaborations he’s done with José Luis Montón...getting a lot of mileage out of this recommendation!

I saw him play with Sara Baras a couple of years ago. I wanted to go back the next night just to see/hear him play again, but it's a 3 hour journey to the venue and 3 hours back plus the cost of the theatre and train tickets... but he was freakin brilliant![:)]
