Bulerias2005 -> Music for Russian 7-string guitar (Dec. 30 2020 23:11:55)

...adapted for a 6-string (with altered tuning, of course!).

Excited to share my arrangement of this technical tour-de-force -- my last video of the year! -- and quite honestly the most challenging piece I've ever played, an intricate set of variations based on a Russian folk melody. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Mind blown!

Masterful!

I like how the placement/sequencing of the variations allows the piece to breathe. Very nice and highly listenable!

Thank you both! Agreed about the sequence of variations, the whole piece is very tastefully composed! Vystosky is super underrated.

Sounds like A440? [:D][:)]

I dunno, I never use a tuner. :) Intuitively I actually prefer 432 so I tend to tune a little higher than I'm inclined to since I know that'll be 440 haha. A random aside -- the reason I prefer 432 is because a lot of music from Russian cartoons that I grew up watching is that way, so it just sounds better to me!

Right... hence my joke. This was Russian music, you refer 432, then tune sharp on purpose which makes perfect sense [:D]

Wow, so your initial joke went totally over my head and it took me a bit to remember that discussion here on the Foro about 440 vs 432 -- I see now it happened back in 2013. Damn. Good memory! As far as my preference for 432, it doesn't interfere with my ability to play in whatever the hell kind of Hz I happen to land on. :P
