I thought you might enjoy seeing the craftsmanship (craftswomanship?)

Fascinating, thanks.

Sweet I need to build one of these for tomorrow night’s election riots.

Glad you appreciated it. I like the way she wears nice clothes to do all that hard work.

Makes a nice change from an old bloke in a shed and good to see a young woman carrying on such traditions.

That’s not a traditional bow making method, but it was fun. She could make water skis that way too.

Well the truth is we just don’t know what most of you luthiers are wearing while you work – if anything. We know that the old boys Faustino and Mariano Conde wore shirt, collar and tie with brown coats – doubly dull. And Mariano’s sons Felipe and Mariano Jr also wore these brown coats for a while. We know that Stephen wears a priceless antique silk robe and splits billets of spruce with a single blow of his sword. Come on then, let's have some pictures from the rest of you. Luthiers can be pin-ups too.

Rob

Making with a mould and what looks like epoxy may not be traditional but making a bow is a tradition [8|]

I wear a hakama and a small black hat and direct my apprentices with grunts and whacks of a bamboo stick
