Absolutely... There is a place called Kino Cafe on Cambie St. and about 17th Ave. They have flamenco there 6 days a week. One of the guys that plays and sings is a friend of mine. When you are about to go I can give you his name in a private message. There are also quite a few dance studios. I never went to any, but I have seen the dancers that have come from these places and they're all quite good. There is a dance teacher called Cassandra who is unbelievable; you can see her dance at this cafe. Other than that, checking out www.flamenco.ca for upcoming events and links. Also check out www.penabuleria.com. This site was organized by a Persian guy that I also met at the cafe. He brings in people from Spain for concerts, and is definatley someone worth meeting. He also sings quite well and plays guitar too. I can also give you detailed directions on getting to Jeff Sigurdsons shop, as it can be a little tricky to get there. He's in a very industrial part of Langley, just off the highway. Not a fancy location at all. (must be cheap rent!) Hope this helps. Just make sure you're there in the summer....rains too much in the winter!
