Try www.esflamenco.com and search for "nino pura" ;)

You might be disappointed, he's gotten a lot better over the years. He used to really overdo his picados, senseless messy runs over two coplas and stuff. It might be interesting though for you to hear how he's improved...

There's a SoleĆ” on his first album from which I play a tremolo, it's beautiful. It's on "Capricho de Bohemias". I think everybody should make their own opinion as to what they like, it's definitely not bad music! It's all about taste. It's more the fact that as he now plays very modern flamenco, back then he played "muy flamenco" and flaunted his picados a bit much. Listen unprejudiced!

Regards,
John

Pozo y caudal is one of my favourite albums too but like it has allready been said , i would not bother with his old albums, i think he had no musicality in his old ones, they all just seemed to be about his technique and showing off his fast picado.

I listened to it 1once and put it away, the guy from Pozo y caudal and his older recordings sound like 2 complete guitarists,.

there are plenty good other guitar albums you can get instead, like carlos romero, nino josele's first album, pedro serras new album etc...
