Not exactly flamenco but..... On Nov 1st UK'S Manchester's Bridewater Hall goes Spanish with the help of the Halle Orchestra: The programme is: Rossini's overture..Barber of Sevilla. Falla's Three Cornered Hat, Ravel's Pavanne une infante defunte, Rimsky-Corsakov's Capriccio Espanol, Bizet's Carmen, Chabrier's Espana, Granados and finishing with Ravel's Bolero. Simon knows the size of the Halle's home; The Royal Albert Hall in London. The Bridgewater is not a tenth the size of that, and the mighty Halle will literally "blow the roof off" . Just for interest, the Bridgewater is the only building I know that is earthquake-proof as it is built to sit 1" above ground level. I am praying my wife hasn't got a night shift at the hospital and I can get to see and hear this feast of sound.....fingers crossed...I can't wait. (((-: Jim
