Hello, I am a new member who has been trying to play flamenco for many years but work got in the way. A wonderful friend who sadly passed on a few years back, El Jefe, introduced me to flamenco in 1970 when we met. I had taught myself classical guitar but was stunned by his flamenco technique - entirely self taught. We played together for a few years and I had to find a flamenco guitar because my Peterson classical guitar was the wrong construction to play flamenco. By sheer chance I found a Ramirez 1a flamenco guitar locally and bought it in 1974 and still play it. I live in Hampshire UK now and want to find another player or dance group to enjoy flamenco with.
