Very nice Ethan, and I assume the check is in the mail for my testimonial on your website [:D] Just kidding amigo, glad you used it.

Ethan,
Vary nice.

Your shellac is brilliant!

Do you weigh your guitars when they are done?

Looking forward to the sound check. Do you like to play them in yourself before making that first recording or perhaps save it for the first owner. I've been playing mine in the white cause I can't help myself mostly, until I've noticed some staining from my right thumb on the top a la rasgueo . Oops, better get the strings off and get her finished. Seems like it's a couple monthes before the FP cures up and the sound brightens back up although it could be some other factors.

I'll be passing through Seattle in May, any chance your shop is along the light rail from the airport?

Thanks, guys.

Tom--Any time you want to buy a guitar from me, welcome. [:)] (Same to everyone else, of course.)

Yeah, Andy, I was dating someone who's into marketing and she insisted that I quote you. Thanks for that great quote.

HR: I do weigh my guitars sometimes. This one weighs 1352g or just under 3 pounds, as usual for my blancas. If I want to make a recording I do need to at least play in the strings. Yes, the sound always improves.

My shop (home with workshop in basement and guitar room instead of dining room) is indeed near the light rail from the airport. Let me know when you'd like to visit. Please use the contact form on my website. I don't seem to get any notifications from the Foro any more.

I think because I grew up around dark rosewood classical guitars, every time I see that bright cypress wood on the back view it hits me as super exotic.

Beautiful job!

Congratulations Ethan, both for the lovely guitar and your playing.

JasonM -> RE: New Blanca (Feb. 12 2020 15:33:06)

That rosette is a work of art. The guitar sounds very responsive. Nice clean playing too.

Ruphus -> RE: New Blanca (Feb. 13 2020 15:18:15)

Nice!
It hast the crispness that I like, is well balanced between bass and treble, and greatly separating.

And as has been remarked already, clean playing that is.
