Piwin -> What is the best musical instrument case to hide in when attempting to flee from the authorities? (Dec. 31 2019 15:44:40)

According to The Guardian, Carlos Ghosn escaped Japan hiding in a musical instrument case (https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/dec/31/carlos-ghosn-escaped-japan-hiding-in-a-musical-instrument-case). The French press is saying that these are just rumours (the "hiding in a musical instrument case" bit, not the fact that he fled the country).

Whatever the truth may be, this got me thinking about this very (extremely) serious question: what is the best musical instrument case to hide in when attempting to flee from the authorities and why?

I voted for the triangle, because obviously nobody would think to look for me there.

(just having some fun ^^ Happy new year everyone!)

I go for a tune fork.

When you are in tune, you are not out of tone, so, you can mingle in any crowd and disappear easily.

Or........hide in a bagpipe....the sound is so horrific, nobody will whistle on that.

Or, the nose whislie from uncle snottery.....as long as you do not inhale you are save.

Happy new year for you, and all the friends here!

Well, Piwin, I’m rather happy you asked this question, as I am not lacking in experience in the very endeavour you are inquiring about...

My most recent skirmish with the authorities occurred last September, when I appeared to have caused considerable consternation by parking my luxury cruise liner not very far from the gates of Area 51. This did not go over well, I’m afraid.

While the use of instrument cases as escape aids has proven useful many times in the past, on this occasion it was the lack of a case itself that did the trick.

Upon realizing the authorities were descending upon my person, I simply slipped into some green velour lederhosen with matching feathered cap, grabbed my concert accordion, and commenced to regale them with rousing renditions of tunes from my 101 Polka Hits LP.

At first they ignored me. Then a younger soldier came up to me and started screaming something to the effect of “Do you have any idea of the kind of impression you are making on our guests??!!!”. At this point a commanding officer stepped in, told him to hush up, and politely begged me to leave, as they were very busy looking for a fugitive at the moment.

Not being one who needs to be asked twice, I hopped onto one of the ship’s portable mobile balconies, and was on my way...

Oh, and the best of the New Year to you and all the other inmates here on the Foro, as well!

Pipe organ. You could get a bed and a small kitchen in, as well.

Come to think of it, isn't Luciano's last name "Ghosn"? And wasn't he on tour in Japan, with a big guitar case, at the same time Carlos escaped? J'accuse!
