Conrad -> Fun with comrade Grigory (Feb. 16 2006 22:11:18)

Hi playas...

Here is Grisha making fun of the very first photo of me that I sent him (with thumb hanging over etc... We hung out recently and had an awesome time!!

and Grisha playing left handed...

closeup on hands...

and the man with his exquisite Stephan Connor classical...

Poor dude doesn't even have a flamenco right now. And he hardly ever practices his flamenco. But he's still the meanest G string tickler this side of Pluto. [;)]

cheers,

Conrad

Respect to both Conrad and Benjamin, who came to my house despite it was snowing pretty badly! They turned out to be more Russian than Vicente, who never came to Boston that day. I had a great time with these nice guys and my hands were hurting over the next few days. Of course, they asked me to play all the stuff that's on my website, but I almost never practice these pieces these days with all the classical that I have to present at school. So I was not in my best shape, you may imagine! Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it. Thanks!

Cool! Grisha, let me know when you record the Bach Chaconne. I think you'd do a great job with that one.

Conrad -> RE: Fun with comrade Grigory (Feb. 18 2006 18:08:09)

Miguel,

Grig played bits of the Chaconne for us and with great sensitivity and timing, unlike most classicals I've heard. You would not believe how massive Grisha's repertoire is. There must be days worth of material. We didn't even have to request stuff... at times he would just say "have you heard this"? da-dee-da-dee-da-dee hahaha, awesome

And guys, I thought I had a good ear... previously, my Uncle's ear was the only one I knew that was better, but Grisha is so quick.

Twas an absolute blast jamming and playing for Grisha as well. And he is an oustanding teacher.

In the Video of Pionate he looks like mid-twenty. Here, he looks like 17. Which one was edited digitally? [:D]

Besides, chequered shirts rule (:

Grisha -> RE: Fun with comrade Grigory (Feb. 18 2006 19:11:29)

In the video of Pinonate I WAS in my mid twenties. Now I am much... younger!

Eintein said that if we could achieve faster than light speed, we could move backwards in time. I think Grisha has found the fountain of youth, with fast picado.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, brilliant... that is a sound theory. [;)] And new impetus for practicing harder!
