Auda -> Best transcription: Almoraima (Oct. 11 2019 16:13:32)

I was hoping someone might know the best (faithful) and most detailed (I am a flamenco beginner) transcription of PDL's Almoraima. It appears a sanctioned version by Vargas (excuse me if I misspell names) is available. I also see that a version Lieva, who appears well respected transcriber, is available. There is another by Setta. Is there any by others available that are detailed and faithful. Of secondary interest would be price.

Cheers

Alain Faucher has a version out there somewhere and his work is top-notch, probably the best around. Always best to check against a recording though. He can be a bit expensive.

edit: it's kind of funny that if you google "Almoraima Alain Faucher", the first result is a ripped version whereas Faucher's site doesn't appear anywhere in the first pages. To go straight to the source it's over at affedis.com.

Thanks Piwin

I have looked at that site before but their offer is conditional and does not give details on the transcriber. I agree as to Alain Faucher's abilities for transcription.

Edit: Now I see Affedis is AF's own site.

I'd guess that David Leiva's version would be the most accurate one, down to minute detail. Though past a certain amount of detail, transcribers start transcribing happenstance (missed/hit string etc.)

Sounds like you have experience with his transcriptions,

Just a little; I bought some David Leiva transcriptions after Ricardo basically recommended him based on his own experience; Ricardo would have a lot more to say and more authoritatively. I did get the same impression, though - that Leiva's transcriptions were careful and detailed, and accurate, as far as that can be said without examining every note of his entire output.

Ricardo looks to be a good authoritative source.

I appreciate it.
