Hi.
I'm following the Granados "Metodo elemental de guitarra flamenca" and I'm currently stuck in exercise 26.

Of course I would rule out a typo but rather attribute it to my lack of skill but, anyway, how would you press the strings here?
See picture. It says fingers 3 and 4.... but then I'm expected to use finger 2 on the next note of the arpegio. ??

Unfortunately it's not a typo [;)]
You have to keep fingers 3 and 4 pressed down on the strings and reach around with finger 2 (so finger 2 is one fret higher up the neck than fingers 3 and 4). It's common "por arriba", and you see it a lot in phrases using alzapua.

It is not a typo. It is typical to do it that way, probably others can find a video example for you. You are holding with fingers 3 and 4 on the third fret the Bb chord. Now use 2nd finger to fret 5th string, 3rd fret (C). Now twist your hand as you need to to move your 2nd finger to 4th fret (C#) while still holding the 3rd fret string 2 and 3. And back again. Once you get used to it, you will see that it is very functional.

I see. So just practice till you get rid of the buzz.

It just seemd a bit sloppy to twist your hand around like that.

The next two or three exercises have that too so I just wanted to be sure before ploughing on.

If you take off the lower E string though, does por medio become por arriba?
If you play left-handed on a guitar for right-handers, is por arriba por debajo? Or is it still por arriba but played por debajo, aka por arriba por debajo?
If you play left-handed on a guitar for right-handers with the guitar in your back, is por arriba por debajo then por arriba por debajo por detras?
