Revlon makes a nail buffer with four different surfaces. It costs about $3.50. I used to get them at the local drug store, but started buying them online when the drug store stopped stocking them. I shape the nails with an emeryl file. It is small mineral crystals glued to a metal piece. It leaves the nails pretty rough, but using the Revlon buffer produces a silky smooth nail edge. You start from the coarsest buffing surface, work through the finer ones to the smoothest. It takes me about 15 minutes from start to finish. I'm sure there are other ways that work just as well. RNJ
