I am not sure if this should be posted here or in videos or tabs. but this 17 seconds of tango is driving me mad. Can anybody explain the coordination here between the right hand technique and his syncopated timing.
Its easy to play it straight with the accents falling on 1 and 3 but of course most are slightly early or late and coupled with the right hand vamping...very subtle. It would be great if anybody could tab this even roughly.

the falseta starts at 1.00 - 1.17

Cheers peter

I'll take a closer look when I'm home with a guitar but it's not helping things that the audio and video aren't synced properly.

I synced it (just the relevant excerpt). mp4 video excerpt here.

Thanx...its a bit easier now its in sync, but those right hand syncopated vamps still confuse.

I bring real syncopated guitar music:

Not sure what you mean (more like which parts you see as syncopated beyond comprehension). Play the synced video at half speed (or not) - it all seems fairly straight forward for the right hand in terms of timings. Though I totally get why it would very confusing in the un-synced version.

Starting from the beginning of the falseta, the first 4 pulses are straight, then he does do accents at 4.5 and 2.5 (i.e. half a pulse before 1 and 3 of the second measure); as well as 4.5 again after that, and then the following 3 he is doing it straight; 4 measures total. Then this repeats rhythmically for another 4 measures. Then you have the rasgueados to finish - first measure is straight, then 1.5, and finish on 3.

thanks... i will slowed it down to half speed on the sync version....it makes sense now. [:)]
