Marchito -> My first commissioned guitar experience (Nov. 3 2018 16:53:35)

Hi, not long ago I decided to commission a new flamenco guitar (blanca) and want to share my experience so far. The luthier of my choice (Jose Antonio Villalba) has floaded me with images of woods, ideas, advices. We spent a long time discussing several options and took few decisions. Only the design of the rosette was probably few dozens whatsapp messages.. now he started but much has still to be decided. However, I didn’t think the process could be that fascinating. Something you cannot experience when buying off the shelf. I love it. It will be several months before I will be able to play the guitar and this will cure GAS too hopefully. :)) even if I am thinking to commission another if I will like the end result. This time is going to be a blanca with peghead, a classic. Next maybe a negra with cedar top. Anyway, to those who are tempted to commission: yes, there are many incognitas but the build process itself is worth the money, if you have a luthier who shares so much as José.
