Hello, I'm new to this forum but have searched it regularly over the last few months while making my second build, which is a flamenco blanca loosely based on Courtnall's Barbero plan. It's very light (1143g) and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Here are a few pictures and there's a write-up on my blog.

Beautiful! Looks like you got a great finish on it.
I see that you have a thing for square edges (headstock, nut, bindings). If it were me I'd round over at least the nut and bindings more, and carve that bulge out of the heel.
Beyond that, you might want to check and adjust the bevel on some of your tentalones.
Overall looks great for a second guitar though, and I bet it sounds good too.

Thanks, Andy. This is just the kind of feedback I'm looking for.

Since taking those photos I've taken more off the neck (using a profile I took from a 1990s Maldanado). I didn't take much off the heel though. Here are some more photos of the heel today. Do you still think it has a bulge?

As for the square edges, I like a square headstock, but also didn't want to focus too much on ornamentation at this stage in my experience. I just want to get the basics right. As for the nut I can fix that, and I'll take a look at the bindings too.

Thanks again,
Joss

It's totally a matter of personal preference and aesthetics so take it with a grain of salt, I just prefer the side contour of the heel to be one clean, sweeping curve. Whenever I see extra material there, I feel like my hands are magnetically drawn to my chisel with the desire to shave it away. [:D]

Looks like you have a bit of extra bulk towards the top of the heel. I’ve built 3 necks and zero complete guitars so far so Which makes me an expert ;) anyhow looks nice and clean, I like the rosette! Gives me inspiration.
