had a listen tomatito's son's album, 'Plaza Vieja' this morning, i must say, very nice debut from this talented young man in his early twenties.

A very broad number of influences can be heard in his toque, from the Caño Roto, where he studied with El Entri, among others in that social group, to his fathers own toque and i've even heard a few ideas from more established contemporary artists such a manuel parilla, chicuelo and diego del morao.

all in all, a very nice album, high production quality as one would expect.

I had been wondering about him from hearing some compilation samples that were posted here a while back. I really enjoyed the video. Is there somewhere to hear more from the album?

Just passively listened while doing house work. It's solid, I don't think he's entirely found his own voice yet(if he will). I do wish more soloists would do what Dani did and put more singers on there albums. Just because someone is singing doesn't mean I can't appreciate the guitar talent, I'd say even to the contrary, I love hearing how certain guitarists deal with cante. It just breaks the falsetas up nicely, I really start losing interest after 10+ minutes of straight guitar.....

One of my teachers said, a lot the guitarists are influenced by Paco and imitate. Its only having listened to Paco's discografia over a whole month, i realized the profound influence. same as sabicas, nino ricardo and montoya had on pacos early work.

José is young and like everyone else, working on what they find to be their path.

The last song was genial, I hope he continues from that. He seems to be the next big name in world of flamenco guitar.

Click on the "learn more" link and you'll see why. They think you're a gullible 15-year old with at least $10/month disposable income.
