Those look great!

As a tip, in my experience traditional cejilla with 1-2mm thick rubber instead of leather works best.

What kind of rubber?

Any relatively hard rubber will do, like on dunlop cejillas for example. I think they sell gasket rubber sheets in hardware store, that would work best.

Oh you’re making these???? Awesome Ramz! I’ll pay good money for the smallest simplest thing you can make. The smaller and simpler the better.

The top row of the collage: middle, and right. Those are the simplest. [:)]

Done! If you design something simpler and smaller let me know I’ll buy that too.[:D]

Looks like dating a bow maker has been good for you. You learned a lot.

These are great!

Ricardo -> RE: I am selling hand-made traditional cejillas! (Jun. 30 2018 12:46:49)

Very nice.... except the peg is in the wrong spot, it has to be in the center [:D]

Len, that's your spruce guitar? It sounds good. Nice playing.

These look great Ramzi! You could try making castanets next and selling them to the local dance students.

Does a higher hole change anything regarding ease of access to chords in the 1st fret (I totally get Lenny's point about profile).

I've never had any issues with leather - not sure how rubber can be better.

Thanks! Yeah it’s the spruce, I basically play whichever guitar has newer strings because I’m lazy lol they both need a string change right now though.

I know for sure I couldn’t grab that Bb chord if the peg was in the middle.
