i was watching sauras film last night and i must say out of all the accopaniment i saw in the video the one which sticks out in my mind the most is the scene with el farruco, faruquito and el chocolate.

the solea by the guitarist is sublime, and it fits so well wit the dancing, the guitarist (amador) has perfect compas and even though what he does is simple (compared to solo artists) the aire is profound, and he builds up the phrases so well.

its like the guitar is almost talking with el chocolate and trying to console his woes.

id have to say the video link of paco and camaron i posted as well was something special too.been watching it alot trying to get attuned to bulerias.

so what are you opinions on the best guitar accompaniment you've seen or heard.

I don't know about that. I have a recording "Flamenco de Triana" with Escudero playing accompanyment to Nino De Almaden and Carlos Ramos (circa early 1960's I think). His playing definitely was not dirty and that was live performance playing. A lot of his playing on that was at par with similar pieces by Sabícas. Those two were contemporaries and friends.

Testament to that fact is found in a funny quote by Sabícas...
“I steal his music, and he steals my girlfriends”
