Howdy!

Here's a video where we tested a new mic called ReMic D5400 for Upright Bass. It seems to be really good and can't wait to get a piece for guitar. I've heard they are preparing the mic already. Now they have orchestral instruments covered.

The bass violin sounds good. But, why post it on a guitar forum?

I think because they're in development for guitar.

Sounds pretty smooth and balanced. Great playing as usual Jw.

sounds good, but they are like 700 bucks.

Yup, the point to post it here was I wanted to share the information that there're possible good mics coming again for an acoustic guitar. I've been using DPA4099 and Neumann KM184 for a long time and now I'm really interested in this new ReMic. Have to test it if it comes!

700 bucks is not too much for a good sound. I prefer to pay even more if I can get a good sound. And best part is that it's quite easy to carry mic to everywhere you play so there won't be any possibilities that some sound engineer puts a Shure 57 or something a front of you and says: "This is only we got."

This is quite common rule with the equipment and instruments:
Cheap price - bad sound
High price - good sound
