Has anyone tried these? https://www.ernieball.com/guitar-strings/classical-guitar-strings/earthwood-80-20-bronze-nylon-classical-guitar-strings#P02069 I was using the diamond secure beads, and I thought I'd look for nylon strings that had ball-ends. I got a set from Guitar Center just out of curiosity. D'Addario and likely other companies make similar ones. So far, so good... Thoughts? Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px

I suggest 12 hole bridge, looks more authentic but needs a jig to drill properly[:)]

Ugly as hell...both the ball ends and the 12 hole diagonal lines. Traditional tie your strings is the best.

Some bridges with traditional string attachment method give too shallow angle for the strings.

It is easily done, and in doing so you avoid having your guitar look like it has Christmas tree ornaments protruding from the tie-block. Bill

A zero break angle works just fine with NO SADDLE (so long as string touches bridge where saddle would be for intonation), but some angle is needed so you don’t get buzzing OR can adjust the action higher if so desired. But lust for extreme break angles on low bridges is silly.

I recently heard a high end dealer basically say about a guitar “sounds fantastic but the break angle is too shallow.”. My thought was if it sounds great what does the break angle matter..... The strings seem to sound good, but I’m also on the fence about having bridge dingleberries....
