Yeah sound-wise it's just not there, at all. And I'll admit that the advantages he sees to it (last longer, can stick a screwdriver in it without leaving a trace) don't really do it for me. I mean, first of all, don't hit your guitar with a screwdriver. [8D] And second of all, if my guitar lasts another 40 years, I'd rather it looked like Trigger by then than brand new. The third thing he mentioned was how it was less responsive to temperature and humidity changes and so it didn't detune as much as a traditional guitar. Fair enough, but I'm a pretty lazy guy and even I don't mind having to tune my guitar.. Plus, tuned guitars are overrated. [:)]

I can see the point as a travel guitar or even for gypsy kings type stuff.. Another video here: The low E string sounds particularly nasty to my ears.

Oh yeah, but probably Gerardo called his style “antiguo” which is not an insult at all, and his buddies probably added the dinosaur Jurassic thing...it just sounds too American a pun for the Gerardo I know. About the excessive heat and pressure.....yes this carbon guitar should not be used for baile.

I may not understand the 'guitar making al carbon' it sounds pretty close to al cabron.... which is also to say it has a rather sulfurous aire issuing from the maker of al carbon model.

In Latin America, "El Carbonero" is the charcoal vender who goes house to house. Perhaps the Luthiers on the Foro could go down in "Peace Corps" mode and advise him how to upgrade his product. Bill
