Hello Everyone,

I am new to Flamenco, trying to play I mean, the music I have enjoyed for quite some time. Classical guitar is a pastime of mine. Playing off and on for the last 30 years I still consider myself a beginner. Now at 50 years old I have been practicing more classical and am dabbling in Flamenco via youtube. I have not found anyone local for lessons so will continue this way and just enjoy myself.

Hi CPT,

Welcome to the Foro. Starting flamenco is not easy but eventually will bring you some fun and satisfaction. It is difficult to find local flamenco guitar instructor and you might have better chances finding a dance school, which offers flamenco classes, so you can start accompanying noisy dancers. And of course you can consider Skype lessons offered by several high-caliber performers here on the foro.
