Hi, I have an old 1977 4F Alhambra guitar made in Spain. It has a beautiful deep resonance, but it was very difficult to play, so I had the action lowered, which made it somewhat easier. I was wondering if I could re-string it with ultra light acoustic strings, or would that diminish the sound? Also, does anyone know the value of this guitar? $200-$500 range IMO.

acoustic strings as in steel strings? steel strings have too much tension and are not designed for a classical guitar. there are very good low tension nylon strings that will work well. go to stringsbymail for a good selection.
