gimmeagig -> Where can I buy a golpeador/scratch plate? (Aug. 9 2017 23:34:01)

I posted this in the general section before but did not get any replys.
I have a classical guitar but I got it set up really nice. low cation and it sounds great. I just need one of these scratch plates. I read there are ones with adhesive and others that stick without adhesives. I want clear ones. Which ones are best and where can I buy those. I'm pretty good at scouring the internet but this time I have not had any luck. Can someone please help me?

Search is your friend

I got a spare Herco golpeador. It's a two piece so you can probably fit it without removing the strings. Let me know if you'd like it.

Huh? In that other thread you got two different replies which told you EXACTLY where you could buy these - those replies were from a professional luthier and a professional flamenco guitarist.

And now you can see from Escribano's link that there are many posts here which also contain the information you seek.

So how about some thanks to the people who helped you, rather than a complaint?

I never got a notification that there was a reply. I'm sorry I just assumed there wasn't any reply. Apparently I was wrong.I'll try to find my post again and read the replys.
Are you one of the people who actually helped me there or do you just enjoy being hostile?
I apologize for not knowing my way around this forum and therefore not having thanked the right people. If you are one of those helpful people then I apologize to you especially. If not, then your hostility is totally uncalled for.

Thank you very much for letting me know. The member Timoteo just pointed out that someone did post some helpful replys to my original question in the general part of this forum So I'll try to find that and see if there is a local (USA) source for those and if not, then I'll take you up on your offer.

For a classical it's best to buy the non-permanent transparent version. Sticks with no glue and is easily removable.

I'm seeing my father for lunch and will ask him where he got them. Back to you soon.

Look at this too:

Static adhesive is best:

Thanks for your help guys.
You mentioned the name Herco and that came up in a search on amazon. I just ordered it.Should be here in a week. I think it's a set( hard to tell on the picture and it might be the adhesive kind. Which would be good, because I read that the other kind needs to be installed and removed for every playing session. I'm too lazy for that. I just want to grab the guitar whenever I feel like it and start playing. besides my Classical guitar is not that valuable. It is a Teton STC 105NT. It is super light and I got the action perfect for flamenco( I think) very low , slight buzz but not to the point where is chokes off the notes.I really like that guitar.
I'm mainly a electric bass player ( Laitn Jazz funk R&B) but somewhere along the line I caught the Flamenco fever. So I'm pulling out the guitar every day almost as much as my bass. I love it.

Thanks again for your help. I just installed the Herco clear golpeador.
The bottom one came out really nice but the top panel isn't quite right, I should have trimmed the neck part in front of the soundhole back a little bit. I kind of feel the edge of the material where I rest my thumb against the E string. The panel should have been closer to the E string. But it still does the trick. I think I'll leave it. I can always redo it at some later time if I don't get used to that edge.
It's nice that you can barely see the protector. Good stuff.
