If you are going to purchase steel get an electric guitar. Since you live in Nashville, a tele or strat so should suffice [:D]

But, you can also get a NYLOCASTER....Come on, I watch your videos and when you sing you strap the guitar on...You can do the same wth the Nylocaster!

Nice! I learnt it in G, which is the original key I think. It's also easier to play and to capture the nuances soundwise on guitar.

You should do, it has legs. I am well out of practise but tinker with the blues now and again. Wish I had more people to play with but we are pretty isolated here.
