A bar of Lava soap if they are loose, graphite from a pencil if they are sticking.

A good quality soap, that you leave with a bit of water over night. The soft soap you mix with a good fine quality pumice. If it sticks, more soap, if it slips, more pumice.

Works wonders

Lava soap has pumice in it. I don't know if it is available anywhere other than the US.
