After playing electric bass for 30 years, I got the flamenco bug, and have been learning since December. I first bought an acoustic steel string last year, because I'm at a point where I just want to pick up a guitar an play, without a bunch of gear or a band.
After taking some online lessons, my wife decided she wanted to learn too, so time to buy another guitar :) I went nylon with a flamenco blanca, and started focusing on learning flamenco. I'm hooked, and only wish I had found the opportunity to learn flamenco 30 years ago.
Here's to the next 30 years.
