I know there is an almost an infinite amount of ways to do rumba strumming. I was wondering if this pattern can work. Pretty straightfoward but want to add it to my rumba strumming patterns.

I think perhaps if you throw this in there for a few seconds in the middle of another song which has a more interesting pattern, then it may be OK (mainly to add contrast to what can become a repetitive rhythmic feel from one rumba strumming pattern over and over), but it sounds boring to me as a standalone pattern. Sounds more like someone who is trying to do the Marote rajeo but isn't getting the equal spacing correctly yet keeps going through it over and over. [8D][:D]

I also would think there needs to be something percussive which needs to be added, like a muted strum or a golpe somewhere, otherwise this sounds not rhythmic enough to be rumba to my ears.

Agree with Ramz, missing something. Like some sort of percussive something after the P down.

I was waiting for you to chime in... I thought I was actually playing the coolest rumba strumming pattern frankly. On a more serious note I agree with you and Lenny. I play Rumba differently. It's missing aire por Rumba Lenador.[:)]

You're asking the wrong people Juan. Try asking some hot chicks who know jack about flamenco [8D]

Here the strumming was too predictable - but I wonder if it would work well as a variation thown in real briefly with other patterns??

No....absolutely zero soniquete.

Wow, I must be regressing![:D].. Quite frankly it is what it is and it aint much. But I guess that was my whole intention.
