It's been bothering me for awhile...I've been thinking of it as fast-sounding Fandangos but I'm sure it has its own palo genre. If you could let me know, that would be great. Thanks..

Unfortunately I can't see the vid. But a quick google search reveals that Clavellina hermosa is indeed a Fandango de Huelva. Listening to it on iTunes confirms this.

Wow, I didn't realize Fandangos de Huelva are so fast! Thank you for looking into it! The lyrics of the song are beautiful...especially the first verse...

Its interesting hearing Rocio Durcal doing flamenco. She eventually became a huge star in Latin America singing rancheras in the 70's and 80's

Oh ****! That's Rocio Durcal!? I didn't watch/read the clip. I only know the name from my childhood friends mom, had no idea she sang flamenco or was even Spanish for that matter.

Yeah, her roots are popular flamenco forms like fandangos and sevillanas. Eventually she worked with Mexican producers like Juan Gabriel and became huge. There seems to be a lot more money in Mexican music, I'd think because of the huge Spanish speaking Mexican population in the US and Mexico
