I am thinking of trying la Bella rectified trebles on my flamenco guitar.

Anyone have thoughts or opinions about this?

I used to use them on an 80's Manuel Caceres Blanca I owned
They sounded great, felt good and really suited that guitar amongst other strings I tried
I used a medium tension
May as well try them and post your opinion

They weren't the best fit/string for the Conde i later acquired

I use Savarez rectified nylon strings with success on both my Negra and Blanca. Great sound and comfortable to play.

The Labella's dont have the same coarse feel and cloudy colour to them which is a noticeable difference to the Savarez.. La Bella also a bit thicker from memory...
Huge fan of Savarez strings...just wish their basses would last longer...

Indeed .. I'm using what is basically the Tomatito set -
I just triple up the bass sets to the trebles ..
But your right ... A big improvement in longevity from the Corums - they still fray and pit fairly early on - but they sound so good on my guitar ... So I stick with them
Experimented with knobloch basses which seems to
Last ages but the tension seemed a bit tight and got a bit wooly/classical sounding - at least with the ones I tried

Had a bad experience with my first (and last) set of Cantiga. The first just 'slipped' away from the mechanical tuner to my amazement. At first I thought I had badly tied the string so started the operation once more with the same result and this time with a ding on the top just behind the bridge. Aaaaaaargh, there had been no issues with the guitar since new for 9 years and now it is marked forever [:@]

I'll put on a set of La Bella rectified trebles this week.
For basses I will try D'addario composite, they are supposed
to be a bit brighter than their normal basses.

Dynacore basses are much better than the regular D'Addario composites and last longer. Even EXP basses last longer and sound better than composites.

I love rectified trebles, especially the Savarez white card ;)

I play mostly classical guitar, however, and dabble in flamenco palos.

New Cristal Classic (540CJ) from Savarez is also a great set for flamenco [:D]

I put on a set of La Bella rectified trebles yesterday.

Definitely a different sound.

They seem to have a bright attack and a "smoother" tone
than normal nylons.

Rasgueos are bright and scales are more lyrical which I like.

Also put on D'addario normal tension EXP bass strings.

Seems to be a good combo. Time will tell...
