Label inside says made in China, did he have a shop in China, and then split from his partner, to move to the States to set up his guitar making?

Anyone in the know, of this luthier please sound in, would appreciate it.

It's the opposite. He was making guitars in California for years then moved production of some (or all?) models to China. The La Triana model was still being made in the US when I joined this forum. It was a few years later that I noticed they were coming from China.
