No video or sound clips are available. What kind of characteristics would Bubinga produce? Anyone play a Hippner guitar? Thanks

benros -> RE: Hippner Spruce/Bubinga (Nov. 25 2016 20:53:48) more remarkable than the bubinga, which would probably be fine, is that the top is not spruce, but yellow cedar, as far as i know, a kind of cypress and kind of a weird choice for a nylon string soundboard. but who knows... anyway, i think for that money you could get a far more flamencish guitar!

Tom Blackshear -> RE: Hippner Spruce/Bubinga (Nov. 26 2016 18:31:50) I have no experience with this guitar but he bought the rosette from my collection of an old 1950's Hernandez y Aguado flamenco guitar. I have since sold my collection to Carlos Rodriguez Quiros in San Juan Puerto Rico. But what I hear is that the Hippner guitars are certainly worth the money.
