Can anyone guide me in finding the tabs for the Rumba "Amuleto" by Paco Cepero? Specifically, the traditional version:

The intro doesn't match the recording you posted its the cheesier version you can find on Youtube, but the real one is not hard at all to figure out. This is one of those pieces that sounds great when Paco plays it, but not so good when I try to play it. It is pretty simple though.

Thank you Cervantes! I've read and heard that the version in "Aires de Jerez" doesn't match the one in the video which seems to me what you're confirming.

I'll try to figure out the intro. He does sound great in this performance!

Hi Cervantes,

Been trying to figure out the intro to this performance one bit at a time.

I think I have the opening picado sequence and the arpeggio figured out but I cannot figure out the tremolo section that starts at :49 and ends at 1:10.

It doesn't help that the camera doesn't show the left hand. Any help in decoding it would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if I can send you a private message.

Regards.

I generally ear play these kind of things with a tape recorder, recording at full speed play back in half speed. You can play above film on youtube on an even lower speed (1/4 of the real speed) making it possible to hear every note he is playing in that tremolo (which sometimes involves various notes in 1 pimai round). All you have to do is ear play them at low speed, chain after chain, and write down the notes in tap to know which notes are played and from there you can hopefully deduct how to play them.

Sounds pretty straightforward to me.

If you PM remind me, then I might make a quick video. [:D]

Thank you!

You just need to practice Recuerdos Alhambra every day like I do.
But no I-A-M-I allowed [>:] , just A-M-I
